Desda. For each activity, a few members of the committee take care of the organization. Often, there is a prize for the winner and the runner-up receives the honor of a mention in the club magazine. Examples of activities organized by Springer include: Escape Huygens, the pool tournament, the variety show, bowling, and of course the famous Pancake Eating and Running Festival.<\/p>\n<p>The name Springer comes from the mathematician Springer, just as Brouwer and Bartjens were also mathematicians. The logo used to consist of a series of dice with the letters SPRINGER on them, connected by a wire with an ignition mechanism on the end. When choosing the name, a Dutch mathematician was the starting point and &#8220;Springer&#8221; felt sporty (just like how Brouwer was an applicable name).<\/p>\n<p>This committee has the following members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Floris Hoogendijk \u2014 <em>chair<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Naomi van den Boorn<\/li>\n<li>Alex Hereijgers<\/li>\n<li>Miko van Kessel<\/li>\n<li>Tijmen de Lange<\/li>\n<li>Lieve Maenen<\/li>\n<li>Robin van Nijen<\/li>\n<li>Nils Peters<\/li>\n<li>Jonas Rommen<\/li>\n<li>Amiira Tosri<\/li>\n<li>Mikki Vermeer<\/li>\n<li>Jochem Verzijl<\/li>\n<li>Max de Wilde<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Springer&#8217;s honorary members are Inge Mos and Dwayne &#8216;the rock&#8217; Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>Springer is available via springer@desda.org<br \/>\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>fltr: Mikki, Miko, Max, Nils, Amiira, Floris, Jonas, Alex, Jochem, Naomi, Tijmen.
