Desda. For each activity, a few members of the committee take care of the organization. Often, there is a prize for the winner and the runner-up receives the honor of a mention in the club magazine. Examples of activities organized by Springer include: Escape Huygens, the pool tournament, the variety show, bowling, and of course the famous Pancake Eating and Running Festival.<\/p>\n<p>The name Springer comes from the mathematician Springer, just as Brouwer and Bartjens were also mathematicians. The logo used to consist of a series of dice with the letters SPRINGER on them, connected by a wire with an ignition mechanism on the end.
